The skeleton case (non-waterproof) has a number of "cut-outs" to allow better sound and use of plug-in accessories. The case also allows easy access to the memory card, without having to remove the camera from the case. Also shown installed is an Olympus Model ME51SW uni-directional external microphone. Use of this external microphone greatly improves video sound. A 25-cent coin is shown for scale. The Hero2 is a VERY small camera!
