NEW GROWTH ON OUR PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS - TAKEN WITH A MANUAL FOCUS TAMRON SP 90mm f/2.5 MACRO LENS

Ranchers in the Southwestern United States spend millions of dollars trying to eradicate the prickly pear cactus from their land. Here, in North Carolina, we grow them for landscaping. As they say, "one man's weed is another man's flower". The prickly pear flowers only last a day or two, but they are a beautiful, vibrant yellow.

The manual focus 90mm Tamron macro "legacy" lens was mounted on the NEX-7 camera, using a Rainbow Imaging Minolta to NEX adapter.
