FENCE LIZARD - ISO 80 - EXTENDED MACRO ZOOM (535mm)

A Fence Lizard (Sceloporus undulatus) basks in the sun our our front porch. The Fence Lizard is the only lizard in North Carolina that has scales, rather than smooth skin. This little guy is about 4", nose to tail.

Extended Macro Zoom (file reduced to 3 megapixels), provided a 35mm focal length equivalent of 535mm. "Normal" setting. "Standard" color mode. The image was shot, hand-held, through double-pane window glass.

These Eastern Fence Lizarads are fun to shoot because they're not as wary as the blue-tailed skinks. I find them rather cute! Nice catch. You'll usually find them sun-bathing in the same spot every day.
