CELEBRATING A GOOD FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY - ISO 200, WITH BUILT-IN FLASH

I was amazed at how the in-camera flash provided even coverage at 24mm. A few small shadows, but almost as good as using a bounce flash. ISO 200. "Standard Color" film setting used. "Flash" white balance setting. f2.0 @ 1/30 second, hand-held. 35mm focal length equivalent of 24mm.

1/30s f/2.0 at 5.1mm iso200 full exif

The camera was set for "P" (Program). I popped up the flash and adjusted the flash intensity down - 1 stop. I had tried full-power flash first, but that overpowered the room lights.

Isabel: Thanks. Before this, I had also only used the flash for inside and outside fill. I was absolutely stunned to see how well the very small, built-in flash provided such even lighting, even at 24mm.
