The tourist town of Hoi An is a different kettle of fish from the islands where boats are made, nets are set, reed mats are woven, bricks are baked, grandchildren are cared for and life is governed by the water and the sun, not by tourist flows. The colours are different, the sights are different. So this working world warrants a gallery of its own. Having said that, I include photos taken when I was part of group of tourists cycling around the islands-of us as tourists trying to direct a coracle/basket-boat, and of the ride back at the end of the cycling trip, to the tourist town part of Hoi An.
