My son and were going to backpack up into Cascade Canyon in the Tetons, but had to be at the Park office to get a backcountry permit. Since the office opened at 8AM, we had just a few minutes to get this shot from the Snake river overlook at sunrise. Several hours later and nine miles into the hike, the weather changed. It started to rain and then snow. We made the mistake of packing light without a tent, and decided to hike back out.
