5th: "DON'T STOP! DON'T LOOK BACK!" by michal.ski

It's been asleep for a very long time, and now...now It's hungry...
...you know it is on your trail...getting closer with your every heartbeat.
You can almost feel it's breath on your shoulder.
Run...run as fast as you can!

This really conveys motion and also fright. Fabulous image. Really makes my uneasy to look at it.

Niamh, Peggy,
thank you both for your comments. I have just brought it close to b/w. Not at 100%, 'cause full b/w seemed a little flat, while this suggesion of colour still makes it a bit of 'panic' picture to me, ensuring some depth in it. Hope it gained a little after the 'touch'...cheers!

very effective motion blur. I can't look at it too long without getting dizzy ;)

yep, this definitely has a "blair witch" type feel! the blue sky behind the trees is a bit
of a counter point though, so I wonder if this would be improved if converted to b&w? I like the novel interpretation of the theme.
