Hi All,

Thanks for the comments. I shot this originally for the C1 "Wrinkles", which for pure coincidence was opened the day I got my A1 and started browsing on MTF ( see here ) , but at the end I decided not to submit it, because I had already 2 macros in it. Kind of like in this Challenge ;-) .. so now I have lo start looking for something big

very nice image, interesting subject, good lighting and personally i think the shallow DOF works well in this context - i think if the DOF was deeper the shot would be more bland.
and according to you this is a beginner's shot?! LOL!

what a great subject, and captured with that claudio perfection - i found myself looking for the embedded grains of sand/shells. the lighting and way you have composed it leaves me looking for more, and gives it a nice sense of movement. thanx.

Hi Claudio,
very intriguing shot but I also think a bit more DOF would be fine. Perhaps you can reshoot with a warm flat light to create some dramatic shadows on the surface.
Good Luck

Hi Fred,

LOL, petrified catrpillars? tripes? the Scarbourough bluffs? ..... nooo, it's just a small piece of coral we picked up on a beach in Tobago

Hi Claudio,

Interesting texture, but what is it? Overcooked pasta? Cheese in the process of melting? Or the inside of the brain of the latter day Nietzsche? Whatever it is, it caught my eyes. Well done.

Hi, Master.
So many living textures in C#10. I think a litle more DOP woul'd be fine. And I wonder what are u preparing for competition...
