Those are farmers in the middle of Chile's mountains. They have quite an old fashioned way of life.

They have electricity thanks to an hydrolic plant. But it's very week, so they have only enough power for the light: they've got a brand new fridge wich they never could use...

The phone only works between 8h am and 6h pm

Dining with them was a really strange experience. They began to tell me about their daughter's death in a car accident. Then about their son's death too when he fall in a river with is car...

A unique esperience!

And now for something completely different! That's what popped in my brain as soon as I looked at this image. I can't tell you exactly why, but I like it a lot. I love the socks over the stove ... supposedly hung there to dry. Very resourceful ... although I don't know about dripping into my tea or my soup. :-)
