I never would have seen this -- excellent capture, adrianox!

A last thing, how did you manage to get 60sec exposition? I thought 30sec was the max?

I like this pic, very "graphic". i like the sublte reflexion on the floor.
But i can't help imagine it with to people walking, but i'm not sure it would be better...
anyway, well done

g'day & Ingo u are way too generous - i must introduce u to my wife - she needs to hear that more ;-).... seriously - i'm pp impaired.. i have not figured out how to add colour where it did not exist before... so, no - no added colour - i did saturate it more tho. this challenge has been a very eye-openning pp education.

It's funny how it just draws you in. Very interesting. Did you add the colors or is that part of the actual lighting? With your talent, it's impossible to tell.

thanks guys - i was thing of reshooting this, as i do know the security guards that keep the grate stopping access here after dark - actually glad there was a grate as it gave me something to rest the beast on for the 60 sec exposure. decided i liked it the way it was... thanks paul for nudge on the title - seems very apt.

Hi Adrianox. If your previous entry was called J.Pollock, this might be a Mondriaan. It's cool. Paul.

I like this picture. Regarding its sterility, my opinion is that it adds to the coloured lights on the ceiling and their reflexions in the windows to the left and right. Despite the happy coulors of the lights the emptiness and coldness of the place remains. I also like the composition, with the four lines converging into a centre.

Hi, I agree with JDU that it's a bit sterile, but it is also nice, calm and well saturated - good job!. May be some minor recomposing could help - it calls some feeling to me to be turned slightly left.

Hi Adrianox,
Your pic is so peaceful and subtle, but perhaps a bit sterile. Still, at 1am things can be a bit quiet. I like the way the overall tonings help the coloured lights to stand out. I also like your choice of framing for the lights to emphasise them as your subject. This one could have worked for C8 as well, but I loved your strong entries there anyway. Your Reflecting was something I had seriously considered asking you about as a header pic for C9 as I kept going back to that one with the coloured scarf around the woman's neck contrasting so well with the more even and subtle tonings of the face/hair and background in the rest of that pic. It would have shown an example of how to introduce a touch of colour without having to post-process, but you saw what I ended up doing instead. While your pic here is more subtle, you have still provided another good example of achieving the aim without PP.
Cheers, John

Nice calm atmosphere .. Love the soft lighting . Reminds me of Mondrian. Somehow I immagine it with a person in the distance taking your eyes in even more. Nice capture
