Nice composition and color. He/she is definitely alone. In the thumb you can't see the lights, etc. on the ground. It might be nice to brush these out in order to highlight the idea of alone.

Frankly, I don't have what to say except "Well done". Now, when I read about the crop from the full-size, it needs some sharpness, but it's very good overall.

JDU,
I was just out "getting the sunset," and off in the distance, here this thing comes. This is a crop out of a full-zoomed image -- that's as close as I could get! Still, this does indeed convey quite nicely, I would think, what this person was doing -- having a wonderful, solitary ride in the wind during sunset. What a way to live!

From John down under:
Hi Tom,
Knowing what a stickler you are for accurate white balance, I am impressed that you managed to find such an orange scene to photograph for this pic! LOL
Nice use of colour for dramatic effect. Also good framing and placement of the subject and horizon. I am finding the subject a little small and can't even tell whether there is a squirrel hanging in there under the parachute. However, the small size of the subject adds to the sense of isolation and being out there on its own, so it supports the theme.
Cheers, John
