Light snow falling and bitter cold. Did not want to go out and shoot today but headed out anyway. I was not happy with any of my shots. Will post this one anyway as I missed yesterday.

Good try. I see the same redwing blackbirds on the same cat tails and almost have given up trying to get a good shot. It seems impossible to wring any detail out of all of that black. At least you were able to get a small catch light in the eye. Half of the time I don't even get that.

I've seen these birds a few times around work in New Jersey! Beautiful image... the constrasting colors are superb! Excellent capture!
