Since I work this afternoon and this evening, I needed to get my PaD done early. I headed to the campus at CSU and walked around the oval for a while. I was intrigued with this entrance leading into the building. While moving around and taking a couple of shots a man walked up and started a conversation with me. He told me that using the boughs of a spruce tree would make for a good frame. I agreed and took about a half dozen shots while he watched. I thanked him and we each moved on. As I moved to my right I noticed another framing image I liked better and took a couple of shots. I then waited for him to enter the picture. Adding him in the image brings dominance to the stairs. Climbing those stairs seemed to be a struggle, maybe painful for him, but he moved onward to his day’s tasks. It was a lesson for me in where planning ahead and waiting a few seconds changed the whole scene.
