Somewhere in Peoria

Wayne and I loaded up a couple of his telescopes and drove a ways fromm the city to set up.
This is the only one we used though 'cause the dew set in sooner than we expected. I was ably to view Andromeda and Hercules Cluster. Though due to the Moons brightness they wern't real visible.
I wanted to take a few photo's using my camera. BUT, wayne told me that it didn't do to well in that area with just the one lense I have for the camera. (he'd know, it was his first!) said it'd put a purple frame around most things... Oh well.
I walked over to get my camera, to take this photo. Well, I got the 'soup" scared outta me, and I am sure that critter did too! LOL We had stopped on the way out to get some chicken. It was sitting on the pic-nic table... Unfortunately the critter was gone before I captured a photo.
All in all, we had an enjoyable time though.

I walk in the woods all the time but you would never know it given what a wuss I am when I am startled by critters (night or day, it makes no difference). Good night shot here though. Too bad you couldn't shoot the stars. Tell Wayne you need a better camera?

Sounds like you had fun! I want one of these. I tell you, if aliens ever land near me and ask me to come aboard, I'm so out of here it's not funny! So if my PaD ever stops rather suddenly, you now have a clue as to my whereabouts.

Cool! (Nothing like scaring the night creatures, too!)

I used to live north of Boston, after I moved away to Northern New Hamphire, I really started appreciate the night sky - No "Light Pollution", just the stars.

That's one big telescope! Sounds like you both had a nice time.
