Message from LUKEY
Hello everyone I’m Luke and welcome to my PBASE page!!!!
At Then tender age of seven, I attended the 1989 Australian Motocycle Grand Prix with my family at Phillip Island and it was the begining of a long love affair with the sport i love. i grew riding my push bike dreaming of being Wayne Gardner and my all time hero Mick Doohan. During my teen years as soon as my pocket money was in hand, it was off to the local to get the lastest racing mag's and i would spend hours going through all the photo's and collecting all the Racing posters my room was covered in them. One day the thought came to me that i would love to see my own racing photo's on my wall, not somebody else's and at the age of 19 i got my hands on my first camera and never looked back.
Now 25 i've been to more then half of Austalia's race tracks and can't wait to visit the rest. I been very Privaliged and thanks to the great events held in Austalia and have been able to photograph such ledgends like Sir Sterling Moss, Ralf Schumacher, Mark Webber, David Coultard, Lewis Hamiltion, Marcos Ambrose, Mark Skaife, Craig Lowndes, Peter Brock, Larry Perkins, Dick Johnson, John Bowe and world champions Sir Jack Brabbam, Mick Doohan, Micheal Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen, Nicky Hayden, Jason Crump, Kelly Slater and now Casey Stoner (GO CASEY GO !!!!!!).
My Photography has come along way in the past 6 years and i still have along way to go. I have been published and love seeing my name in print and hope there are many many more to come in the years ahead. i dont beleave i have ever taken the perfect photo or ever will and will forever chase the shoot. I see Photography the same as formula one development "the finish line dosen't" exist" Todays shoots were fantastic but tommorows brings a new day and better results.
I thank everybody who has supported me over the years, my dad for all the events he took me to as a young kid and all the drivers/riders past and present for the great racing, these memories will last forever.
