With global warming, we may not see much more snow and ice in southeastern Idaho or anywhere in the Intermountain West, so each autumn, we were thrilled to see the first dusting on our higher hilltops. Then, in January, we grumbled as we slipped on ice and fell while crossing the street! That same snow and ice makes travel risky, so my winter photos--now including Colorado--are all from close to wherever home happens to be.
