Thimpu, population 98,700 and altitude 7650', is the capital of Bhutan.
When we arrived, the city was decked out in its finest for the coronation
of the fifth king. This stadium was built especially for this coronation
celebration which attracted both dignitaries from around the world and
Bhutanese both local and far flung.

The celebration was a time for various Bhutanese groups to show off
their skills in front of the new king. There were numerous dance groups,
marching bands, and an interesting "strong-man" contest.
