Made for the venerable Exakta company by Pentacon in the twilight of it's existence, the Kitschy
RTL 1000 is actually sought after for using the incredible array of Exakta lenses. Earlier "real" Exaktas had trouble with a substance coated on the cloth shutters,
which decayed and left pinholes in the cloth.

Too expensive to fix easily, the Exaktas are often just put on display, and photos taken with the myriad of lenses by the likes of Schneider, Zeiss, Schacht and Meyer, using the
RTL. The camera above is shown with the nifty Auto Aragon 100mm f2.8 lens, a very sharp, brushed
chrome lens made in Japan, which was about the size of a 55mm normal lens.
