I came home on leave from the navy in December of 1961, and drove to Townsend, TN. My camera was a Agfa with a 40 or 45mm lens.
Townsend was, at that time, a small community 40 miles south of Knoxville, and near the Smoky Mt. Nat. Park. It still had corn crops and cattle along the main roads. Today a four lane highway goes between shopping centers, campgrounds, with lots of motels and resturants.
