Spring Break

Waikîkî Beach is the shoreline fronting Waikîkî and one of the best known beaches in the world.
The beach has had its problems because of groynes build-out from the shore.
This has led to beach replenishment projects in the past. In the 1920s and 1930s sand was obtained from Manhattan Beach, California, and transported via ship and barges to Waikîkî.
It still provides a mecca for sunstarved students and families.

Very nice image, Mark. What are the cones for?

That's a beautiful scene. Looks like you are in front of a life quard station?

Very nice! When I was there we stayed at the Ala Moana, which I think I see peeking out down the shore a bit. What are the cones for? Alloted beach space per hotel?

The Foster City lagoon looks quite a bit different than it did last time I saw it. ;)
