It's becoming clearer now

Washington, DC

Red, blue or purple, Americans of all political stripes object to using Medicare and Social Security cuts to reduce the deficit.
In a new national poll, 82 percent of Democrats, 73 percent of Independents and 58 percent of Republicans rejected such cuts.
And while politicians often tout the unpopularity of raising taxes on anybody, even greater numbers of each group—94 percent of Democrats,
82 percent of Independents and 64 percent of Republicans — said they want to see the wealthy pay higher taxes.
- Oh, and the quote is supposed to be; "No taxation without representation"

I was working at a "rich" person's house and there was a check laying on their countertop made out the the IRS for quarterly payments. It was for $250,000! Don't categorize every wealthy person as a tax evader.

Since I can't afford lobbyists like corporations can, I can sympathize with DC's motto at the bottom of the license plate. ;-)

The statement for the common people fits. It doesn't fit for the rich. Their motto is NO taxation.

The reference to no repesentation is because DC has none so the quote is correct.
