I had the opportunity to do some work in Oberkochen, Germany last year. This shot was made late one night (early one morning) after returning to the hotel from our work. No one was standing at reception, I had my camera, and I liked the way the pewter deer head on the red wall looked behind the red desk. It wasn't until I processed the image that I saw how the shadow on the wall approximated the shape of a stag! I like how even now my eye sees more than my mind grasps in the instant, allowing me to be surprised by the images I make.
