Michael, It was a pleasure meeting you and I enjoined your company at the Waffle House. I think your pictures are amazing and you captured things I had missed ! It was great to have such a great photographer among us ! I was wondering, do you do portraits of people and dogs ? Hope to see you at other meet ups.

It was a pleasure to meet you Michael and I look forward to seeing your pictures of the cruise.

Hi Michael; Love your photos. You have a great deal of talent, and these are extraordinary images. I did leave a message on one other page with Toronto city hall, but it didn't seem to register. I'm sure the pictures of the cruise will be great. Looking forward to seeing your future work. Heather Sayle cruise 2014

PS I am a point and shooter right now, but hope to improve.

Thanks so much for sharing this link with me Michael. I really enjoyed all your pictures. It was great to see the Busker Festival shots, and I really wish I had made it to the Chinese Lantern Festival now. The Huron Natural area looks really interesting too - great colours!

Hi Michael,

Your pictures looked great, I went through your work and I liked how you manipulated your images. I was wondering, I have a picture of my wife (it's about 25 years old), the picture has been faded; you can see the original color around the outer edges, but the center of the picture the color has been destroyed due to aging and most likely a cheap scanner.

I was wondering if you could do a re-touch on it, to get the original colors back, or whatever you think is best. You can view the picture at:http://www.pbase.com/chungvu/my_wife

Hi Michael,

I found your galleries upon doing research for the Canon 20D camera. I am seriously considering getting one myself and wonder if you would recommend it and whether you have been happy with its photos.

Thanks much,
Cora

Hi Michael, thanks for writing back.
When I send you a message it sends me an error message saying I've been blocked by spamhaus...
I've never heard of Lakeshore Camera club... The Montreal Camera club has two digital competitions this year - and you can print your digital shots and enter the print competitions.
Anyhow, got to go for now. Thanks for keeping in touch!

Hi Michael,
Still loving your work! Thanks for your recent e-mail. Unfortunately I can't write you back - I've been blocked by spamhaus...

So here is my message... I hope you don't mind...

Hi Michael!
Congrats on your new purchase! The photos are great! I have to say the bee ones are my favorites - such great detail!

Thank you so very much for your kind comments. I truly appreciate it! I'm still very much enjoying my hobby - which is the whole point - right??

I joined the Montreal Camera Club last week... Have you ever checked them out?

www.montrealcameraclub.com

They have competitions and stuff, and after seeing the first set of entries last week I figure I have at least a few good enough to enter the pot. It was nice to be around other photographers.

Take care and keep in touch!

Some how people think I asked the question about storage, I was just answering, BUT it did allow me to discover your web page. Just wonderful. Right now I am working of flowers, insects and birds taken with my Olympus C750 and PH Elements. Having a ball and enjoying using programs instead of teaching others how to use computer technology. Thanks again

Hi Michael,

Your photos of Unionville are wonderful. I'm thinking of taking a day trip up there today and your photos have clinched it! Beautifully done. Keep shooting!

Hi Michael

a message from a fellow 10D-owner and one that is very interested in wide angle lenses for this body. I currently use the Sigma 17-35EX-HSM but want another lense, preferrably a bit sharper at the corners than the Sigma.

I am thinking on buying the new Canon 17-40L but due to the extra 2mm-wide end of the Sigma 15-30 I am also very interested in this latest Sigma wide-angle-zoom.

I saw your pics made with this lens on your web site; they look very sharp and contrasty.
Very nice.

My question:

- are you satisfied with your 15-30? What are - in your experience - the down sides of this lens ?
- before buying this lens, had you ever considered the 17-40L?
- if you ever owned the 17-35, how does this 15-30-lens compare to the 17-35 ?

Thanks a lot in advance

Erik

Michael,

Thanks so much for you input. After reading yours and others comments, as well as thinking about what I want to shoot, I'm looking at that 50MM 1.8, and the sigma or similiar wideangle. I may hold off on a telephoto for alittle, as architectatal & lanscape is my first concern.

Thanks again!

Hi Michael, i looked at your pics from the Laurentians and I really enjoyed them. I also live in Montreal, and enjoy seeing pics from the neighborhood, to so if I can recognize places.
I purchased a 602Z in Jan, and thoroughly enjoy, yet would love to know someone who has a 602Z to help me better understand the different photography techniques.
Is there any digital UserGroups located in MTL?
Again, I enjoyed your pics, well done.
PS. I'll have to find out how PBAse works, since I'd like to post some pics myself.

Really enjoyed viewing your photos. Since I've always loved activities involving water I especially liked those around the Bellevue locks and the Lakeshore Boat Club. What a beautiful area! I hope to be able to take pictures like yours some day. I just received my S602 last week. You really helped straighten out my steep learning curve by explaining the Auto Save Settings, numbering etc. I'm finding this exif data to also be a most useful tool for learning, spent a lot of time reviewing yours. I'll be looking for your posts on Yahoo and hope to leave MY Pbase URL some day once I have some photos I'm not to embarrassed to share, LOL. That's something else to learn but first things first. Be sure to post when you add photos.

Hi Michael,

Thansk for your entry in my geustbook. I was a bit surprised to get feedback from canada... although not so surprising because some of my relatives live there. So i presume they've redirected you to my page. I've noticed that you also use the Fuji Fx S602 zoom, your pictures are realy wonderfull, makes me wish I lived there also, those nature shots can't be made here in belgium. But who knows... maybe when I visit my family over there, I'm taking lots of memory cards with me...lol.
Keep up the good work and greetzzz from another Fuji user in Belgium.

Greetzz.. patrick.
