On our last stop at the Bakersfield end of the canyon this man was standing on a rock making a cell phone call. I couldn't resist the light.

Can you hear me now? I hope so....looks like he's been lost on the river for quite a while. However, I'm glad he stayed a little longer so that you could catch him in that wonderful light.

Wonderfully expressive portrait, unbeknownst to this river man. I think I saw him too at a different stop along the river but never captured such incredible light.
