I see fingers of light enticing us with a preview in miniature of what lies beyond. It is as if we are being directed into the "fantasy landscape" of tufas.
It is amazing what light can do. In this image, these sticks glow with life, more so than these waters of Mono Lake. I made a similar image in another famous California body of water -- the Merced River in Yosemite. Only the light is entirely different, my sticks are lifeless, and it is the water that takes on the shimmering reflections of life (http://www.pbase.com/image/44199956 )
