Funny how the "real dream" of the rental trailer seems to be everywhere. The same dreams then? I saw these in Yosemite too! I like how you include only the tail end of the vehicle. as if it is passing by without even a look at the dream that is theirs to see but they choose to ignore.
I like Vanita's point, but I also like the point you are making here about art imitating life. The children in the scene have turned their back on the landscape they are posing in, and the truck bearing their photograph seems to be passing the "real thing" without any sense of acknowledgement. Yes, American is for rent. But those who rent this vehicle't don't seem to emerge out of their motor home to enjoy the reality of nature that is all around them.
