This is an example of ISO 1250 on the Sony a850 and is a compromise between modest noise reduction and detail retention.

This photo is actually a 'happy accident'. The a850 was focusing on the cyan pajamas, which were slightly behind the faces.
For good or ill, the KM 28-75 lens was front focusing at that time and by coincidence properly focused on the faces.
The pajamas were thus out of focus, given the razor thin DOF at f2.8. Since then the a850 has been micro-focus adjusted for this lens.
