Lightsabers don't usually make you bleed because the heat instantly cauterizes the wound, aka melding the tissues. However, the comics wouldn't be very kool without blood.

well, actually, it depends, remember at New Hope, when Kenobi chops off somebody's hands in Mos Eisly Cantina?
I saw an interview with G. Lucas where he said that one of the main ideas of the Star Wars Universe was to be "loyal" to the decisions... Like if you create a sound on space, then it will have to be a sound for everything on space. So, if they bleed then they´ll always bleed. By the way; the blood is perfect. It was one of the first things that made me think about Lego comics...
