Today was a bit of a bittersweet day. It was my brother-in-law’s aunt and uncle’s 40th wedding anniversary. A beautiful day in that you can tell
this wonderful couple is still very much in love, but bittersweet, as she struggles with a deadly cancer. The celebration was held at a yacht club
overlooking one of the rivers in Pittsburgh. It was a beautiful party, a beautiful setting and a wonderful celebration of this couple’s life together,
yet bittersweet, in that it will take a miracle for them to reach their 50th anniversary. Still though there was much joy even in among the tears.

At one point, my niece and I walked over to look out over the river. Here my niece gazes out at the boats below.
...We are still holding out for that miracle!
