This image is baring a lot of philosophy about time and - tightly connected to it - life. The sand has almost totally run through the hole, we are at the end of life. The message is obvious, and - what I like most - just B&W, i.e. no coloured spots at irrelevant places are distracting from the essential. A very successful presentation!
