The main doors of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco are copies of the east entrance doors of the Baptistry of St. John in Florence, Italy.
Designed by the Renaissance artist Lorenzo Ghiberti, the doors have 10 panels 31-1/2 inches square depicting events from the Old Testament.
This panel, the bottom one on the left-hand door, depicts the encounter between David & Goliath recounted in the book of 1 Samuel.
