We happened to be in the City the weekend of the Santa Con.
There were Santas everwhere!

The SantaCon/Santarchy started in San Francisco 18 years ago and is now a worldwide annual event (on different days in December).

Many strange santas and elves, and lots of drinking. Basically a somewhat rowdy, bar-crawl event. Mostly well-behaved toward the public though. This isn't the first year we have accidently ended up in SF on the same day as the event. Probably fortunate that we catch the early side of it - not later when more mobbed and in full swing. . . but still interesting to photograph. ;)
