Artistic Endeavors

I've just started doing sketching - and posting some of the birds I've sketched from photos. As I put these up, I see so many mistakes or things that could be done better. I'm learning. . . .
These are some of the photos I have played around with to get a more artsy look. . .
Sometimes I will post my original photo first, then the crop if there was one, and then different versions of the shot. . . Just practicing and learning.

I love what you've done with these shots, Laura! My faves: the 3 big cats, San Francisco - Last Lite, and Coral Beauty. (I've played around with filters too, lots of fun.:-)

I think the fountain dry brush is my favorite & rose with lighting affect is a clever affect to. i love mucking about with treatments to change the look of an image (dont put original up, good idea though) Pop into my galleries & take a look?

From all, this is my favorite.... Goldfish - Dry Brush. I also like the fountain image, and the flag image.
