This coin was part of the Rasmussen Collection, Heritage (1/05) lot 3567, where it was described as:
N-1, Intermediate Die State, R.1. The inner circle on the obverse is partially broken below the
digits 18, as usually seen. Although faint flowlines are visible around the obverse and reverse
borders, there is no evidence of any rim breaks or die cracks. Pleasing olive-brown and tan
surfaces with darker steel-brown toning around the devices, stars, and letters.
Although a few minute abrasions are present, the overall eye appeal is excellent for the grade.
Ex. EAC sale (4/85), lot 601. (#1672)
Many thanks to Michael Atkins for the coin.
