Elongated earlobes was regarded in the past as a thing of beauty. Unfortunately many women had theirs surgically removed in recent times due to discrimination from the outside world. I was fortunate enough to meet a lady who had not succumbed to such pressure. She is the only one in the entire village who has chosen to keep them. Seasoned from many requests from tourists, she calmly obliged to having her photograph taken.
