I took this photo while out walking in the dunes close to Provincetown. It was very cold and recent snow had melted and refrozen. There was clear ice in the low areas where puddles had formed.
In this spot I found these fascinating bubbles that had formed in the ice above the coloured leaves frozen below.
I was taking the shot at an angle. so to ensure that the whole of the image was in focus I took 5 photos with the area of best focus at a slightly different place in each shot. The images were then blended together for this seamless result
