Sulphur Polypore/Chicken of the Woods, Laetiporus sulphurous

A wonderful fungi, giant in size, striking in colour and delicious to eat (so long as not growing on yew, as in this case…). This bracket fungus grows in tiers on hardwoods – oaks, sweet chestnuts and willows during the summer. It should be harvested when young and soft if it is to be consumed.
