Jewish Ethiopian child of the diaspora at an Israeli absorption center in Jerusalem.
Several months ago, Israel paid an undisclosed ransom to the Ethiopian government in order
to transport this child and others to Jerusalem. Immediately, this child will get good nutrition
and learn Hebrew. In about six months, he will go to Israeli public schools and begin to
become fully assimilated and integrated into Israeli society. At least for the time being,
this child appears to be quite happy.
