Photo taken, not only to show good cake cutting form, but to give the viewers some sense of the magnitude of the interior of the Glen Foerd Mansion with its high ceilings, sconces, curtains, mirrors, wood floors, and other ornate objects found throughout the room. Light source provided by two ettl bounce flashes (one on-camera, 580ex, and one off-camera, 430ex) to control excessive shadowing and overexposure. (I have found in these old victorian mansions, that as long as you avoid chandeliers, and shoot in manual mode, bounce flashes are particularly effective up to about 30 feet.)
