Winter in Niagara Falls

2004 - It was a short two nights vacation. We went to Canadian Niagara Falls in winter for second time.
I new what to expect and got my camera and tripod ready, but the weather was not too good.
First night -20C and wind with mist all over the place. I could not get close to the Canadian Falls,
so I shoot plenty of American Falls and night city. But second day was amazing, mild and sunny.
And the mist was only above the falls bottom, so I could get as close as possible and shoot them
both in day and in the night.
2008 update. I went there for the second time. I though I will be running out of ideas, but this time
I shoot more falls, firewarks, and fesatival of lights and casino.
All Falls illumination colors are real, no filters and no tweaking in PS, they are just that amazing.

They are just out of sight, love what you take as those are the kind of pix I like and take myself. Hope to be going back at Christmas. Been there 2 times in warm weather and 2 in winter...loved both even tho very cold in winter, but ice and snow make it special...

Excellent Photos! Good colors and I especially like the grotesque icicles. I was there last March and it was just as cold. Just a comment on Niagara Falls themselves: I hate what they've done to this (former) natural wonder. For those of you who haven't been there: expect the falls being totally framed within a forrest of concrete. There's hardly a tree left but extremely cheesy tourist attractions ranging from giant plastic frankensteins to abandoned casinos :(
