Photo by Daniel Ter-Nedden. His pictures were taken with Canon reflex cameras on Fuji color print film. We use Kodak Photo CD to have this large amount of pictures digitized. Daniel works as a web designer, he uses a lot of his sparetime for working on the pictures while Carola writes captions that tell these old town's stories.
It was in 1996 that they got caught by the Ghost Town-"Virus", during a "normal" vacation in the USA. While driving back to L.A. from Las Vegas, we decided to have a quick look at the Tourist Ghost Town of Calico. Inside a shop there was a picture on the wall showing the city as it was around 1890. They found it interesting what had become of the city that once had over 3500 inhabitants. Back in L.A. they changed their vacation plans, bought many books over Ghost Towns and visited many of them, one of them was the famous Bodie Ghost Town. The buildings there were so picturesque that we couldn't stop taking pictures. Since then Daniel and Carola have visited and banned on film approximately 170 Ghost Towns in eight states.
