Unfortunately, this lighthouse is privately controlled and the only way to see it
any closer than this, that I could find, is to either rent a boat, buy a longer
telephoto lens, or take a tour. I'd have gladly taken a tour, but it is now off-season
for them and the tours won't be run again until next spring.

Speaking as a photographer who couldn't get a better shot than this of what should
be a public landmark, there's something wrong when such a thing is
privately controlled. Not a happy shooter.
