Gulf Sunrays 43108

Offshore Eyesore

An attempt at turning an eyesore into something reasonably artful and not sure if it succeeds.
Those offshore rigs really ruin a beautiful scene. As bad as power lines and utility poles.

Photographed along the Gulf coast from Mustang Island near Corpus Christi, Texas, USA.

I have to say I agree with you about what those platforms do to the view! Not only that, but globs of oil wash up on the beaches and stick to bare feet. I have seen the numbers increasing so that the entire horizon is nothing but platforms. I guess the birds like to use them for rest stations.
