This has been a good winter for these birds in the area, and literally the first thing I heard when we finally arrived and I got out of the car was the sound of Bohemian Waxwings! We had at least 200 of them in a couple of flocks around campus, with close to 50 in this photo. Ironically, after these great looks this first day up north, we didn't see any others the rest of the trip.
