One of my main highlights on the trip, after the Snowcock was getting quality time with Lewis's and American Three-toed Woodpeckers. We had at least 3 Lewis's here, including a pair working on a nest cavity. We had great looks at this adult, including stellar scope views, but I never could get a clean shot at the bird. Simply stunning though, and much better looks than my only previous experience last year in CA.
