Wheeling and Lake Erie #103 train-0008.jpg

Rio Grande style paint scheme. Former WE/NS/SOU 2654. Sold by NS to Great Western Leasing and leased to W&LE. Sold to CIT Financial in 1999 and leased by the W&LE. Rebuilt by W&LE with microprocessor control system and repainted into latest black and orange scheme in February 2001. Unit has high short hood with Alco trucks and is equipped with Canac Controltac LT remote control system.

This is a great shot. Love the low angle and the looming quality of the engine and the building. Beautiful colors and perspective. Giancarlo's comment is very insightful, and you certainly have captured that tension in this. Wonderful.

this like to me... is a tension, like in the wait of something, the lines exaggerated of the building and of the train, two giants ready to move and launch themselves from some part... along the railroads there is always a feeling of that it must arrive, does not know when, it is not known from where
