In the middle of the Loch an Eilein are ruins of a small castle
The castle was once a stronghold of the Wolf of Badenoch who died around the turn of the 15th century
We arrived on location with flat light but with hope the small castle might light up with the changeable weather
I ended up using a 10 stopper ND filter for a long exposure, framing movement in the foliage and sharpness in the castle
I then used a preset in Lightroom that mimic old AGFA film which popped the colours to give the fairytale 3D look to the castle
It was pleasing to craft a half decent shot in pretty poor lighting ... however returning under better light is still the right answer!
