This image was taken during the incredible December 2012 storms that battered the East coast of the UK, a week of heavy rain, storms and incredible high seas.
As the storm broke in the sky the Aberdeen harbour peer was treated to a stunning sunset back hue as the seas still raged.
The image was exposed and timed to capture the silky seas spilling over the harbour wall.
I have taken images for years at this beautiful spot and only once witnessed the transient light from the storm end.
