British summertime officially ended today and we were treated to wonderful light on the North East Coast, morning & evening!
The day started with a sunrise at Dunottar Castle and ended with a spectacular evening of light at Aberdeen’s Nigg Bay
Continued my experimentation with extreme exposures on the this image, using an extreme natural density filter, 6 stops ... giving 80 secs exposure
I particularly liked the way the sky and sea softens against the coarse hard rocks … with a sense of mystery in the sea
The slight gold light from the sun to the left of the image lit up the foreground rock beautifully … a wonderful goodbye to summertime!
