This linear park trail goes from Sooke to Victoria is 55 kms long where it intersects another regional trail from Saanich to Sidney and is a small part of the Trans Canada Trail which link trails from coast to coast. It was established in 1987.
It used to be a railway that went from Leechtown to Victoria British Columbia in Canada. The park is named for the gas-powered passenger and mail carrying train that went by twice daily in the 1920's. A perfect flat walking trail and you can see horses and bike riders enjoying its multi use.
